House of Commons approves motions reforming the administration of MPs' allowances

Changes debated and approved by the House include:

  • a new publication scheme for information relating to Members' expenditure
  • an updated version of the Green Book, the official guidance on MPs' expenditure
  • new arrangements for the audit and assurance of Members' allowances
  • the creation of the Committee on Members' Allowances
