Digital Market Place event in Parliament

18 March 2014

On Tuesday 18 March the Speaker’s Commission on Digital Democracy held a digital ‘market place’ in the Speaker’s House.

The market place provided a platform to showcase the innovative and exciting digital initiatives being developed and implemented across the Parliamentary Estate.  It also provided a forum for some of the Commissioners and the numerous digital champions to ask some informal questions about these initiatives.

There was genuine excitement concerning the digital revolution that is going on across Parliament.  The initiatives on display included the new Written Q&A system, the education games website, the Committee Office Programme and Parliament’s newest apps – myConstiuency and the Order Paper.

The market place was the first of a series of events that the Commission will be running over the next nine months.
