ANNOUNCEMENT OF COMMITTEE INQUIRY

WELSH PRISONERS IN THE PRISON ESTATE

The Welsh Affairs Committee has agreed to undertake an inquiry into Welsh Prisoners in the Prison Estate.  The inquiry will concentrate on the prison estate in Wales and Welsh prisoners in the prison estate in England.

Interested parties are invited to submit written evidence to the Clerk of the Committee at the address above, to arrive no later than Friday 29 September 2006.  If possible, please supply an electronic version in MS Word or Rich Text format, either by e-mail to [email protected] or on a disk. If submitted by e-mail or e-mail attachment, a letter should also be sent validating the e-mail.  Further guidance on the submission of evidence can be found at:

Timetable for the inquiry

The Committee will hold oral evidence sessions in November and December 2006.
