FOLLOW-UP INQUIRY INTO THE POWERS OF THE CHILDREN’S COMMISSIONER FOR WALES
Further to the announcement of this inquiry on the 1st April 2004, (Press Notice No.10), the Committee is proceeding with oral evidence sessions.

Terms of reference
The inquiry is a short follow-up inquiry to the Committee’s report, The Empowerment of Children and Young People in Wales (HC177 i&ii) published on 15 January 2004. The inquiry will focus on the Children’s Commissioner for Wales’ powers in relation to the proposals for a Children’s Commissioner for England as set out in the Children Bill.
