The Powers of the Children's Commissioner for Wales

The Committee has carried out a  short follow-up inquiry into the powers of the Children’s Commissioner for Wales focussing on the Commissioner’s powers in relation to proposals for a Children’s Commissioner for England as set out in the Children Bill.

The Committee’s Report, The Powers of the Children’s Commissioner for Wales was published on Thursday 29 July 2004 (Fifth Report, 2003-04, HC 538).

The Government Response was published on Tuesday 19 October 2004 as the Committees Fourth Special Report of Session 03-04.
