Globalisation and its impact on Wales
Committee visit to north Wales
The Welsh Affairs Committee will be visiting North East Wales for its inquiry into Globalisation and its impact on Wales on Monday 14 May and Tuesday 15 May 2007.
During the visit the Committee will be holding an evidence session starting at 2.30pm on Monday 14 May 2007, at
North East Wales Institute of Higher Education
Plas Coch Campus
Members of the public and press are welcome to attend the meeting. Evidence on the levels of employment and conditions of migrant labour will be heard from the following witnesses:
2.30 - 3.00pm Ms Charlie Jones, Transport and General Workers' Union, and Barbara Hale, TUC Wales
3.00 - 3.30pm Councillor Aled Roberts, Leader, Wrexham County Borough Council
3.30 - 4.00pm John Gallanders, Chief Officer, Association of Voluntary Organisations in Wrexham (at 3.30pm).
The Committee will also make private visits to Morgan’s Ceramics in Ruabon, Cadbury’s at Chirk, Sharp Manufacturing Co in Wrexham, and Airbus at Broughton.
