PUBLICATION OF GOVERNMENT AND OTHER RESPONSES TO TREASURY COMMITTEE REPORTS ON FINANCIAL INCLUSION:

Financial inclusion: Government and other Responses to the Committee’s Twelfth and Thirteenth Reports of the Session 2005-06 and the Committee’s First Report of Session 2006-07 (HC 437)

The Treasury Committee will publish the responses of the Government, the Financial Services Authority and the Banking Code Standards Board to its Reports on Financial inclusion as its Fourth Special Report on Wednesday 4 April at 11.00 am. The full details of the Reports are:

»Twelfth Report of Session 2005-06, Financial inclusion: credit, savings, advice and insurance (published on 16 November 2006, HC 848-I);

»Thirteenth Report of Session 2005-06, “Banking the unbanked”: banking services, the Post Office Card Account and financial inclusion (published on 19 November 2006, HC 1717); and

»First Report of Session 2006-07, Financial inclusion: the roles of the Government and the FSA, and financial capability (published on 28 November 2006, HC 53).

Copies of the Special Report will be available to witnesses and accredited members of the press on the day of publication, from the Reception Desk at 7 Millbank, London SW1P 3JA. Copies will also be available in the press gallery, House of Commons on that day.
