The Committee would welcome the submission of written evidence, which may include material not written specifically for the Committee. In order for written evidence to be included in briefing for the Members, it will be necessary to receive it by Friday 6 December for the hearing with Treasury officials or Friday 13 December for the session with the Chancellor. Earlier submission is strongly encouraged and would give the Committee greater scope for considering the issues raised.

The meetings described above will be preceded by private deliberative meetings of the Committee to which the press and public will not be admitted. The meetings will be held in a Committee Room in the House of Commons or in Portcullis House.
