FORTHCOMING MEETINGS OF THE COMMITTEE AND THE SUB-COMMITTEE




SUB-COMMITTEE MEETING RE-ARRANGED

The Sub-committee meeting planned for Wednesday 9 July (HM Treasury Departmental Report 2003) has been cancelled and will now be held on  Wednesday 10 September at 2.30pm: evidence will be heard from HM Treasury officials.

TRANSPARENCY OF CREDIT CARD CHARGES

The Treasury Committee will now take evidence on the afternoon of Wednesday 9 July (and not the afternoon of Tuesday 8 July as previously advertised) from the witnesses indicated.

Wednesday 9 July 2.30 pm: Nationwide, Association for Payment Clearing Services and Barclaycard in the Grimond Room Portcullis House

A firther evidence session will be held as follows:

Monday 14 July 3.15 pm:  GE Capital Bank and Arcadia Group

BANK OF ENGLAND

Tuesday 15 July 9.30 am:  Appointment of Rachel Lomax to the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee,  followed by Mr Mervyn King, Governor of the Bank of England

These meetings will be preceded by a private deliberative meeting of the Committee to which the press and public will not be admitted. Meetings may be subject to last minute changes to or addition of witnesses. 

These meetings will be held in a Committee Room of the House of Commons or Portcullis House.  Those wishing to attend meetings should check the venue by contacting the House of Commons Public Information Office on 020 7219 4272 on the day before the hearing.
