Draft Special Report [Government Response to the Fifth Report from the Committee, Session 2005-06, on the Future of the British Transport Police], proposed by the Chairman, brought up, read the first and second time, and agreed to.

Resolved, That the Report be the Twelfth Special Report of the Committee to the House.

Ordered, That the Chairman do make the Special Report to the House.

Ordered, That the Government response to the Fifth Report from the Committee, Session 2005-06, be appended to the Report.-(The Chairman.)

Draft Special Report [Government Response to the Sixth Report from the Committee, Session 2005-06, on How fair are the fares? Train fares and ticketing], proposed by the Chairman, brought up, read the first and second time, and agreed to.

Resolved, That the Report be the Thirteenth Special Report of the Committee to the House.

Ordered, That the Chairman do make the Special Report to the House.

Ordered, That the Government response to the Sixth Report from the Committee, Session 2005-06, be appended to the Report.-(The Chairman.)

Resolved, That the Report be the Fourteenth Special Report of the Committee to the House.

Ordered, That the Chairman do make the Special Report to the House.

Ordered, That the Government response to the Seventh Report from the Committee, Session 2005-06, be appended to the Report.-(The Chairman.)

Ordered, That Dr Heather Leggate be appointed as Specialist Adviser, to assist the Committee in its inquiry into the UK Ports Industry.-(The Chairman.)

Transport Security - Travelling without fear: Mr Craig Bradbrook, Director, Security and Facilitation, Airports Council International, Chief Constable Michael J Todd QPM, Association of Chief Police Officers, Professor Alan Hatcher, Principal, International School for Security and Explosives Education, and Mr Mel Littler, Ascent Aviation Security Ltd, gave oral evidence.

Mr Ian Hutcheson, Security Director, BAA, Captain Tim Steeds, Head of Safety and Security, British Airways, Ms Gaynor McLaughlin, Deputy Security Director, Easyjet, and Mr Chris Welsh, General Manager, Campaigns, Freight Transport Association, gave oral evidence.
