Railways in the North of England
The Transport Committee's Fourth Report of the 2002-03 Session, on
Railways in the North of England, will be published on Thursday 19 June at 11.00am as HC 782-I. There will be no Press Conference.
This report draws on work done by the former Transport Sub-committee of the Transport, Local Government and the Regions Committee. The report looks at state of rail services in the North of England and draws conclusions about failures in those services, and the standards offered to passengers. It also draws wider conclusions about the strategic direction of the network as a whole.
Copies of the Report will be available in the Press Gallery from 11.00 am, and to witnesses and other media between
11.00pm to 12.00noon on that day from the Committee Office, 7 Millbank, London, SW1P 3JA. Witness copies not collected by 12.00noon will be posted first class.
If you would like a copy of the report, but did not submit written or oral evidence to the relevant inquiry, then you may purchase it from The Stationery Office Ltd (tel: 08457 023474). The text of the report will also be available on the Committee's website from 2.30 pm on Thursday 19 June.
The Minutes of Evidence and Appendices taken before the Transport Sub-committee will be published at a later date as House of Commons Paper 782-II. Copies will be posted to witnesses.
