PERSONAL PASSENGER SAFETY IN RAILWAY STATIONS

EVIDENCE SESSION

The Transport Committee announced its intention to inquire into Personal Passenger Safety in Railway Stations on 16 March 2006 (Press Notice 31). Details of witnesses giving oral evidence on 19 April are given below:

2.45 p.m. National Express Group, Stagecoach Group, First Group, Go-Ahead Group, Association of Train Operating Companies (ATOC)

3.30 p.m. British Transport Police, Rail Safety and Standards Board, Passengerfocus

4.15 p.m. Derek Twigg MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department for Transport

Evidence sessions will take place in public, unless otherwise decided by the Committee. Because meetings may be moved from the Palace of Westminster to Portcullis House, those wishing to attend should check the venue by contacting the Committee Office Information Line on 020 7219 2033 on the day before the hearing.
