TRAFFIC POLICING AND TECHNOLOGY: GETTING THE BALANCE RIGHT

FURTHER EVIDENCE SESSION

The Transport Committee announced its intention to inquire into Traffic Policing and Technology: getting the balance right on 25 January 2006 ( Press Notice 22). The Committee announced the witnesses for 8 March on 28 February ( Press Notice 26).  A further Oral evidence session is scheduled for 15 March, witnesses for this session are listed below:

2.45 p.m. Transport Research Laboratory, Intelligent Transport Society UK, and Dr Claire Corbett, Brunel University

3.25 p.m. West Yorkshire Road Safety and Strategy Group, West Sussex County Council, and Transport for London

4.10 p.m. Mr Stephen Ladyman MP, Minister of State, Department for Transport, and Mr Paul Goggins MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Home Office

Evidence sessions will take place in public, unless otherwise decided by the Committee. Because meetings may be moved from the Palace of Westminster to Portcullis House, those wishing to attend should check the venue by contacting the Committee Office Information Line on 020 7219 2033 on the day before the hearing.
