Publication of Report
OVERCROWDING ON PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Earlier this year the Transport Committee inquired into Overcrowding on Public Transport. The Committee considered all aspects of overcrowding on public transport across England, including: the travelling public; transport operators; national and local authorities; and health and safety bodies.
The Transport Committee's Seventh Report of the 2002-03 Session, on Overcrowding on Public Transport (HC 201-I), will be published on
Wednesday 15 October at 11.00am at a Press Conference at 11.00am in Committee Room 15.
Advance copies of the Report will be available under embargo on Tuesday 14 October in the Press Gallery from 11.00 am, and to witnesses and other media from 11.00 am to 12.00 noon only from the Committee Office, 7 Millbank, London SW1P 3JA. Witness copies not collected by 12.00 noon will be posted first class.
If you would like a copy of the report, but did not submit written or oral evidence to the inquiry, then you may purchase it from The Stationery Office Ltd (tel: 08457 023474). The text of the report will also be available on The Stationery Office's website from approximately 15.00 on 15 October 2003 (http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm/cmtran.htm).
Oral and Written Evidence will be published at a later date and copies will be posted to witnesses.
