The Future of the Railways Inquiry

The Transport Committee will begin the oral evidence programme in its inquiry into the Future of the Railways as follows:

Wednesday 15 October

at 2.45 pm    Dr Tim Leunig, Jonathan Tyler, Professor Mark Casson, Professor Stephen Glaister and Professor David Newbery.

at 3.30pm    Rail Interchange Investment Group

at 3.45pm    English, Welsh and Scottish Railway, Freightliner Group, GB Railfreight, Direct Rail Services and Freight on Rail

at 4.15pm    ASLEF

at 4.30pm    ASDA

at 4.45pm    Royal Mail

Further evidence sessions will be announced in due course.

The evidence session will take place in public, unless otherwise decided by the Committee.  Because the meetings may be moved from the Palace of Westminster to Portcullis House, those wishing to attend the meetings should check the venue by contacting the Committee Office Information Line on 020 7219 2033 on the day before the hearings.
