EVIDENCE SESSION WITH RT HON JOHN HUTTON MP, SECRETARY OF STATE FOR BUSINESS, ENTERPRISE AND REGULATORY REFORM

The Communications Workers Union Executive is currently deciding whether to recommend acceptance of the offer made by Royal Mail Group aimed at resolving the current industrial action affecting postal services.

If the CWU recommends rejection of the proposed offer then the Committee will hold the following oral evidence session:

Date and Time:  Wednesday 17 October at 1.30pm

Witnesses: Rt Hon John Hutton MP, Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform

Location: Thatcher Room, Portcullis House

If the CWU recommends acceptance, or if further negotiations look likely, then the evidence session will not take place.

The session will be open to the public on a first come, first served basis.  There is no system for the prior reservation of seats in Committee Rooms.  It is advisable to allow about 20 minutes to pass through security checks.
