Impact of the economic downturn on the South West and the region's response - Oral evidence in Swindon

The South West Regional Committee has announced that its third public hearing will take place at the Railway Museum, Swindon on Monday 8 June:

The chair of the South West Committee, Alison Seabeck MP said:

"These are challenging times for businesses throughout the South West and the Committee is keen to hear from those most directly affected by the downturn.

"Last month we took evidence from the Government and the South West Development Agency about efforts to stimulate the region's economy - now we want to find out if it is working by talking to those at the sharp end.

"The Committee is here to stand up for the South West and if improvements can be made, we want to know, so we can put it to Ministers on behalf of our region."
