Scrutiny of the draft Queen's Speech

Witnesses for public evidence session on Wednesday 14 November at 9.35am

The House of Commons Modernisation Committee will hold its first evidence session in connection with its inquiry into Scrutiny of the draft Queen's Speech on Wednesday 14 November at 9.35am, in the Thatcher Room, Portcullis House.

Witnesses:

Rt Hon Harriet Harman QC MP, Leader of the House of Commons (at 9.35am);

Rt Hon Nicholas Brown MP, Minister for the North East of England, Mr David Marlow, Chief Executive, East of England Development Agency, and Mr Bobby Duffy, MORI (at 10.10am)

Witnesses will be questioned on the consultation process surrounding the proposed legislative programme, including how it is published, and the role of Ministers in promoting public engagement.

An uncorrected version of the transcript will appear on the Committee's website within about a week of the date of the session.
