CONNECTING PARLIAMENT WITH THE PUBLIC
Public evidence session
The House of Commons Modernisation Committee will hold a public evidence session in connection with its follow-up inquiry into Connecting Parliament with the Public as follows:
Wednesday 1 March at 9.35 a.m.

An uncorrected version of the transcript will appear on these pages within about a week of the date of the session. This is the first public evidence session for this inquiry.
As announced in Press Notice No. 5, the Committee will be holding a public evidence session with Lord Puttnam CBE, Chair of the
Hansard Society Commission on Parliament in the Public Eye on Wednesday 29 March (postponed from Wednesday 8 February).
The Committee published
Connecting Parliament with the Public, in June 2004. Since then, two follow-up Reports have been published: from the House of Commons Commission (First Special Report from the Committee, Session 2004-05 (
HC69)), and from the House of Commons
Board of Management (www.parliament.uk/documents/upload/modcomevidence.pdf). All these documents are available on these pages.
The meeting will take place in the Thatcher Room, Portcullis House. As Committee Rooms are liable to change, those attending are advised to check the room location on arrival.
