SCRUTINY OF EUROPEAN MATTERS IN THE HOUSE OF COMMONS
PUBLIC EVIDENCE SESSION: WEDNESDAY 5 MAY 2004 AT 3.45 p.m.
The Committee is currently undertaking an inquiry into Scrutiny of European Matters in the House of Commons. During the inquiry the Committee will be examining the merits of a new Standing Committee to monitor the work of the EU, the opportunities for MPs to debate European issues and how EU scrutiny might be improved.
On 1 April 2004 a memorandum from the Leader of the House of Commons to the Committee was published as

As part of this inquiry the Committee will hold its first public evidence session as follows:
Wednesday 5 May at 3.45 p.m.

Further public evidence sessions for this inquiry will be announced in due course.
