Session 2003-04 1 March 2004 THE PROPOSED WHISKY STRIP STAMP

The Committee will hold its first public evidence session on The Proposed Whisky Strip Stamp at 2.15 pm on Wednesday 3 March. The witnesses will be Mr Ian Good, Chairman, Mr Gavin Hewitt, Chief Executive, and Mr Campbell Evans, Director of Government and Consumer Affairs, the Scotch Whisky Association.  The meeting will take place in the Grimond Room, Portcullis House, House of Commons.

The next evidence session on the inquiry will take place at 2.15 pm on Tuesday 9 March, when the witnesses will be officials from HM Customs and Excise.

Further evidence sessions are also being planned; details will be announced shortly.
