THE SEWEL CONVENTION:
THE WESTMINSTER PERSPECTIVE
The Scottish Affairs Committee will publish its Fourth Report of this Session, The Sewel Convention: the Westminster perspective, at
11.00am on Monday 19 June 2006.
A press conference to launch the Report will take place at
11.00 am on 19 June in the Old Council Chamber, Edinburgh City Chambers.
Advance copies of the Report (embargoed until the time of publication) will be distributed electronically at 11.00am on Sunday 18 June. Witnesses and media representatives are invited to contact either Diane Nelson on 020 7219 6123 or Camilla Brace on 020 7219 6295 by
12 noon on Friday 16 June if you would like an advance copy to be e-mailed to you.
A limited number of copies of the Report (House of Commons Paper No. (2005-06) 983) will be available at the press conference. Copies will also be available in the Press Gallery in the House of Commons, and on the Committee's website from Monday 19 June 2006.

EFFECTS OF TAX INCREASES ON THE OIL INDUSTRY
The Committee also wishes to announce its first public oral evidence session on its inquiry into the Effects of tax increases on the oil industry. The session will take place at
10.00am on Tuesday 20 June, and will be held in the Council Chamber, Aberdeen Town House.
The witnesses will be the UK Offshore Operators Association (UKOOA).
Further oral evidence sessions are planned, and details will be announced shortly.
