THE SEWEL CONVENTION: THE WESTMINSTER PERSPECTIVE
PUBLIC EVIDENCE SESSIONS IN EDINBURGH AND AT WESTMINSTER
The Committee will hold its first public oral evidence session on the inquiry into The Sewel Convention: the Westminster Perspective at
10.00 am on Tuesday 7 March 2006. The meeting will take place in the
City Chambers, Edinburgh. The witnesses will be:
(at 10.00 am) Mr Donald Gorrie MSP, Convener, Ms Karen Gillon MSP, Deputy Convener, and Mr Alex Johnstone MSP, the Procedures Committee, Scottish Parliament.
(at 11.15 am) Ms Margaret Curran MSP, Minister for Parliamentary Business, Scottish Executive.
The Committee will also hold a public oral evidence session on the inquiry at
4.15 pm on Tuesday 14 March 2006. This meeting will take place at the House of Commons, and the witness will be:
Mr David Cairns MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Scotland.
