Job Creation Potential of the Modernised Forth, Clyde and Scottish Union Canal
The Scottish Affairs Committee of the House of Commons will undertake a review of the Job Creation Potential of the Modernised Forth, Clyde and Scottish Union Canal as a follow-up to its Report of December 2001 (HC 424). The Committee will be seeking information about the outcome of the envisaged employment opportunities as a result of the regeneration of the canal areas which involved commercial and environmental projects. The witnesses will be: representatives from British Waterways Scotland, Scottish Enterprise and a delegation from the relevant Councils.
The Committee would welcome written evidence from interested parties. This should be sent to the Clerk of the Committee at the above address by 28 April.
