PASC to kick-start inquiry into Third Sector Commissioning by hearing from large charities
PASC - the Public Administration Select Committee - is taking its first oral evidence on its new inquiry, into Commissioning Public Services from the Third Sector. The Committee will be hearing from
Lord Adebowale, the Chief Executive of
Turning Point, and
Joyce Moseley, the Chief Executive of
Turning Point is the UK’s leading social care organisation and Rainer is the national charity for under-supported young people and young adults.
This inquiry is looking at whether the Government is right to promote the provision of public services by charities, voluntary bodies and social enterprises - and what this means for citizens and for the users of public services. Both Turning Point and Rainer deliver public services with funding from the State.
The evidence session will take place at
10.00 am on
Thursday 7 June in the
Grimond Room, Portcullis House.

The Committee was nominated on 13 July 2005. Its terms of reference are to examine the reports of the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsmen, and to consider matters relating to the quality and standards of administration provided by Civil Service departments, and other matters relating to the Civil Service.
