PUBLIC EVIDENCE SESSION:
WRITTEN PARLIAMENTARY QUESTIONS
The House of Commons Procedure Committee will hold the second public evidence session in connection with its inquiry into written parliamentary questions as follows:
Wednesday 28 March at 3:30pm in Committee Room 20, Upper Committee Corridor. Witnesses: Mr David Drew MP, Mr Oliver Heald MP, and Mr David Laws MP

The terms of reference for the Committee's inquiry are:
To consider the procedures, scope and rules governing the tabling (including the electronic tabling) of parliamentary questions for written answer;
To examine the reasons for, and the consequences of, the recent rise in the number of such questions; and
To consider the procedures for the answering of such questions and what opportunities are available to Members to pursue answers with which they are not satisfied.
