Joint Committee on Tax Law Rewrite Bills takes evidence

The Corporation Tax Bill and the Taxation (International and Other Provisions) Bill are expected to be referred to the Joint Committee on Tax Law Rewrite Bills following second reading in the House of Commons in the New Year.

The Committee expects to take oral evidence from officials from the Tax Law Rewrite Project on these Bills at 4.15 pm on Monday 11 January in Committee Room 5 in the Palace of Westminster.

NOTES

The Joint Committee on Tax Law Rewrite Bills includes Members of both the House of Commons and House of Lords, and undertakes scrutiny of tax law rewrite bills. These bills are intended to make the language of tax law simpler, while preserving the effect of the existing law, subject to minor changes. The bills are prepared by the Tax Law Rewrite Project Team at HM Revenue and Customs.
