Baroness Jones of Whitchurch declared her interests, in accordance with the Resolutions of the House of 2 July and 24 July 1991. She declared the following remunerated interests: Acting Chair of the School Food Trust (August 2006 to January 2007); Chair of Circle 33 Housing Association; Member of Circle Anglia Group Board; Chair of Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors Ombudsman Board; Non-executive Board Member of WRAP (Waste and Resources Action Programme) (18 September 2007); and the following miscellaneous and unremunerated interests: Member of the School Food Trust (a non-departmental public body); Member of the General Medical Council (Fitness to Practice Panel); Member of the UNISON Parliamentary Group; Trustee of Shelter; Member of the Fabian Society; Member of the Ramblers.

The Joint Committee deliberate.

Resolved, That the special attention of both Houses be drawn to the Civil Proceedings Fees (Amendment) (No.2) Order 2007 (S.I. 2007/2176) on the ground that the Instrument is defectively drafted.

Resolved, That the special attention of both Houses be drawn to the Large Combustion Plants (National Emission Reduction Plan) Regulations 2007 (S.I. 2007/2325) on the ground that the Instrument is defectively drafted.

Resolved, That the special attention of both Houses be drawn to the Small Society Lotteries (Registration of Non-Commercial Societies) Regulations 2007 (S.I. 2007/2328) on the ground that the Instrument requires elucidation.

Ordered, That the written evidence submitted in relation to the Instruments be reported to both Houses.

A draft Report is laid before the Committee by the Chairman.

Resolved, That the Report be the First Report of the Joint Committee.

Ordered, That the Chairman make the Report to the House of Commons and that the Report be made to the House of Lords.

Ordered, That the Joint Committee be adjourned to Wednesday 21 November at 4.00pm.
