Criminal Justice Bill

The Second Report from the Joint Committee on Human Rights, Criminal Justice Bill, is published today, Friday 31 January 2003, as House of Lords Paper 40/House of Commons Paper 374 of Session 2002-03.

The report gives the Committee's opinion as to the compliance of the provisions of the proposed Bill with Convention rights as defined by the Human Rights Act, and its conformity with the provisions of international human rights instruments.

Scrutiny of Bills: Further Progress Report

The Third Report from the Joint Committee on Human Rights, Scrutiny of Bills: Further Progress Report is published today, Friday 31 January 2003, as House of Lords Paper 41/House of Commons Paper 375, of Session 2002-03.  This Report draws special attention to the following:

the Crime (International Co-operation) Bill

the Hunting Bill

the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Bill

the Community Care (Delayed Discharges, etc.) Bill

the Police (Northern Ireland) Bill

the Public Services (Disruption) Bill

the Nottingham City Council Bill

The Report is part of the ongoing series of reports from the Committee which examines all Bills introduced to Parliament in respect of their compliance with Convention rights and other human rights instruments.

CHANGE OF MEMBERSHIP
