1. TRAVEL IN A REPRESENTATIVE CAPACITY

Ordered, That Lord Lester of Herne Hill visit Berlin in June to attend the Conference of Chairpersons of EU Human Rights Committees in a representative capacity.€”( The Chairman.)

2. OLDER PERSONS IN HEALTHCARE

Anna Walker, Chief Executive, and Amanda Hutchinson, Head of Long-term Conditions, Healthcare Commission, were examined.

Dame Denise Platt, Chair, and Mike Rourke, Director of Inspection, Regulation and Review, Commission for Social Care Inspection, were examined.

Andrew Dillon, chief Executive, and Dr Carole Longson, health Technology Evaluation Centre Director, National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence, were examined.

3. LEGISLATIVE SCRUTINY

Draft Report [Legislative Scrutiny: Fourth Progress Report], proposed by the Chairman, brought up and read.

Ordered, That the draft Report be read a second time, paragraph by paragraph.

Paragraphs 1.1 to 6.1 read and agreed to.

Summary read and agreed to.

Resolved, That the Report be the Eleventh Report of the Committee to each House.

Several papers were ordered to be appended to the Report.

Ordered, That the Chairman make the Report to the House of Commons and that Baroness Stern make the Report to the House of Lords.
