The Committee considered this matter.
2. Legislative scrutiny: reintroduced bills
Draft Report [Legislative Scrutiny: First Progress Report], proposed by the Chairman, brought up and read.
Ordered, That the draft Report be read a second time, paragraph by paragraph.
Paragraphs 1.1 to 9.2 read and agreed to.
Summary read and agreed to.
Resolved, That the Report be the First Report of the Committee to each House.
Ordered, That several papers be appended to the Report.
Ordered, That the Chairman do make the Report to the House of Commons and that Baroness Stern do make the Report to the House of Lords.
3. Legislative scrutiny: new bills
The Committee considered this matter.
4. Counter-terrorism policy and human rights
Resolved, That the Committee take evidence from JUSTICE, Liberty, Amnesty International, the Law Society and Professor Clive Walker in connection with the inquiry into counter-terrorism policy and human rights.
5. Monitoring of European Court of Human Rights judgments
The Committee considered this matter.
