1. HUMAN TRAFFICKING

Resolved. That the Committee take evidence from Vernon Coaker MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, Home Office, and from representatives of Reflex, the Immigration and Nationality Directorate, the TUC and Kalayaan.€”(The Chairman.)

2. LEGISLATIVE SCRUTINY

Draft Report [Legislative Scrutiny: Eleventh Progress Report], proposed by the Chairman, brought up and read.

Ordered, That the draft Report be read a second time, paragraph by paragraph.

Paragraphs 1.1 to 8.8 read and agreed to.

Summary read and agreed to.

Resolved, That the Report be the Twenty-first Report of the Committee to each House.

Several papers were ordered to be appended to the Report.

Ordered, That the Chairman make the Report to the House of Commons and that Lord Judd make the Report to the House of Lords.

3. THE CASE FOR THE HUMAN RIGHTS ACT

The Committee considered this matter.
