1. HUMAN TRAFFICKING

Ordered, That Dr Vanessa Munro and Dr Tomoya Obokata be appointed Specialist Advisers to assist the Committee in its inquiry into human trafficking.€”(The Chairman.)

2. UNCAT

Resolved. That the Committee take evidence from Rt Hon Adam Ingram MP, Minister of State for the Armed Forces.€”(The Chairman.)

Rt Hon Harriet Harman QC MP, Minister of State, Baroness Ashton of Upholland, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, and Mr John Kissane, Head of Human Rights Compliance and Delivery, Department for Constitutional Affairs, were examined.

The Chairman's attention having been called to the fact that two Members from the House of Commons were not present, he suspended the proceedings; and another Member having come into the room, and two Members from the House of Commons being present, the proceedings were resumed.

Rt Hon Harriet Harman QC MP, Baroness Ashton of Upholland and Mr John Kissane were further examined.

Keir Starmer QC and Jane Gordon, Human Rights Advisers to the Northern Ireland Policing Board, were examined.
