1. RECENT COURT MARTIAL AND UNCAT

Ordered, That the Chairman write to the Attorney General about evidence from a recent court martial and the UN Convention on Torture.

4. BRITISH BILL OF RIGHTS

Resolved, That the Committee do visit South Africa in connection with its inquiry into a British Bill of Rights.

Ordered, That the Chairman seek the approval of the House of Commons Liaison Committee for expenditure in connection with the said visit.

5. OLDER PERSONS IN HEALTH CARE

Ivan Lewis MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Care Services, David Behan, Director General, Social Care, and Surinder Sharma, National Director for Equality and Human Rights, Department of Health, were examined.
