The Joint Committee on Human Rights (JCHR) publishes its Third Report of Session 2005-06, Counter-Terrorism Policy and Human Rights: Terrorism Bill and related matters, on Monday 5 December 2005 at 10am.  The Report will be published as House of Lords Paper 75-I, House of Commons Paper 561-I and the oral and written evidence will be published as House of Lords Paper 75-II, House of Commons Paper 561-II.

In this report, the Committee's first report in its ongoing inquiry into counter-terrorism policy and human rights, the Committee considers the human rights implications of the terrorist attacks and attempted attacks in London on 7 and 21 July 2005 and of various counter-terrorism measures which have been taken by the Government in the wake of those attacks: the Terrorism Bill, the changes to the way in which the power of deportation and exclusion will be exercised, and the counter-terrorism clauses of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Bill.
