The Government published the Equality Bill on 27 April 2009. The Joint Committee on Human Rights is considering the compatibility of the Bill with the UK's human rights obligations.
The Solicitor General has submitted a memorandum to the Committee Chair regarding the human rights implications of the Bill. A copy of her memorandum is available below. The Government Equalities Office also submitted a memorandum, available below.
The Committee then wrote to the Solicitor General on 2 June 2009.
