EVIDENCE SESSION ON THE ANNUAL AUTUMN MEETINGS OF THE WORLD BANK AND THE INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND

Each Autumn the Boards of Governors of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund hold their annual meetings to discuss a range of issues related to poverty reduction, international economic development and international finance. The Committee’s evidence session on the outcome of the meetings will address the following issues:

  • The current international financial crisis and the implications for development assistance
  • The Bank’s response to current food and fuel price rises
  • Reform of the governance of the World Bank and enhancing accountability
  • The World Bank’s Strategic Framework on Climate Change

Members of the public are welcome to attend oral evidence sessions. There is no need to register in advance.
