Cross-departmental Working on Development

This evidence session will examine how effectively government departments work together on development issues and will assess progress on issues which were raised in the International Development Committee's Report on Conflict and Development: Peacebuilding and Post-Conflict Resolution (Sixth Report of Session 2005-06, HC 923-I) which fall within the responsibilities of the Department of Trade and Industry. In particular, the session will focus on progress in implementing the OECD Guidelines on Multilateral Enterprises.

It will also provide an opportunity to explore wider trade matters affecting developing countries.
