Department for International Development (DFID) and
HM Treasury, and representatives from the
Bretton Woods Project and the
Rainforest Foundation UK.
Tuesday 19 July and
Tuesday 25 October the Committee heard oral evidence on Making Poverty History? The promises of Gleneagles [HC 418]. Witnesses included the
Rt Hon Hilary Benn, MP, Secretary of State for International Development, and officials from
DFID, and representatives from the
Trade Justice Movement, the
Make Poverty History campaign, the
Jubilee Debt Campaign, the
UK Aid Network, and the
Stop AIDS Campaign.
