Policing Process of Home Office Leak Inquiries

Assistant Commissioner to give evidence on Home Office Leaks Inquiry

Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner Robert Quick is to give public evidence to the Home Affairs Committee inquiry into the leaks from the Home Office on Tuesday 10 February at 11.30 am.

The Committee's inquiry is focussing on the way in which the Home Office reacted to the suspected leaks of information and the procedures followed by the Metropolitan Police when they were asked to investigate further. The Home Secretary, the Permanent Secretary and the Mayor of London have already given evidence.

Keith Vaz MP, Chairman of the Committee said:

"I am delighted that the Assistant Commissioner will be giving evidence to the Committee as part of this important inquiry into the Policing Process of Home Office leaks. It will be useful to have on the public record the police's view of the process of pursuing inquiries into leaks from government departments."
