DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INQUIRY
ORAL EVIDENCE SESSION


The Home Affairs Committee will hold the second evidence session of its inquiry into domestic violence on Tuesday 29 January. The Committee will hear from a survivor of a forced marriage and take evidence on the role and effectiveness of the criminal justice system in dealing with forced marriage and "honour-based" violence.

  • Commander Steve Allen, Association of Chief Police Officers' lead on honour-based violence

  • Nazir Afzal, Director, London West, Crown Prosecution Service

Location: Committee Room 15, Main Building

The session will be open to the public on a first come, first served basis. There is no system for the prior reservation of seats in Committee Rooms. It is advisable to allow about 20 minutes to pass through security checks. Committee room and timing are subject to change.
