THE GOVERNMENT'S COUNTER-TERRORISM PROPOSALS
Oral Evidence Session - Additional Witnesses
Further to the press notice issued on 1 November announcing this session, the Committee have agreed to the additional witnesses set out below.
The Rt Hon Keith Vaz MP, Chairman of the Home Affairs Committee said:
"The Committee welcomes the opportunity of taking evidence from Mohammed Abdulkahar and Abul Koyair on the process they underwent and the treatment they received during their arrest and detention after the Metropolitan Police operation at Forest Gate in June 2006."
"It is important that the Committee has this opportunity to listen to those individuals who have been directly affected by recent counter-terrorism legislation as part of its current inquiry into the Government's new counter-terrorism proposals."

The session will be open to the public on a first come, first served basis. There is no system for the prior reservation of seats in Committee Rooms. It is advisable to allow about 20 minutes to pass through security checks. Committee room and timing are subject to change.
