Resolved, That the Committee inquire into wheel-clamping on private land.

Travel in a representative capacity

Ordered, That Mr James Clappison visit Paris in September to attend the meeting of EU Justice and Home Affairs Committees’ Chairs in a representative capacity, in place of the Chairman.

Ordered, That Mr David T.C. Davies visit Europol (The Hague) in a representative capacity, for the purposes of the Committee’s inquiry into Policing in the 21st Century.

Bob Jones, Chair, and Phil Blundell, Vice Chair, Association of Police Authorities; Cherie Booth QC, Chair, and Liam Black, Commissioner, Street Weapons Commission; Chief Superintendent Steve Dann, Hackney borough Commander, Metropolitan Police; and Rt Hon Tony McNulty MP, Minister of State, Home Office, gave oral evidence.
