Meeting in Brussels

Ordered, That the Chairman and Bob Russell, accompanied by the Clerk, visit Brussels on 2 and 3 October to attend a meeting organised by the European Parliament's Committee on Citizens' Freedoms and Rights, Justice and Home Affairs in a representative capacity.

Human Rights Session

Ordered, That during the recess, the Chairman may, if the think fit, approve the appointment of any individual as a specialist adviser with the role of assisting the Committee staff in preparing briefing for the proposed meeting on human rights legislation and Home Office policy scheduled for 31 October.

The Committee's Future Programme

The Committee considered this matter.

Ordered, That the Chairman take decisions on arrangements for the autumn programme as necessary during the recess.
