Session 2002-03, dated 2 July 2003
DIRECTOR OF THE POLICE STANDARDS UNIT TO GIVE EVIDENCE
The Committee will be taking oral evidence from Dr Kevin Bond, Director of the Police Standards Unit (PSU), on Tuesday 8 July at 9.45 am. This will be a single evidence session and is not part of a longer inquiry. It is expected that the Committee will cover a range of current issues relating to the work of the PSU. The PSU was set up by the Home Secretary in July 2001 and is part of the Home Office. The PSU's function is to assess standards of police performance, to identify why some police forces perform better than others, to work with those that are underperforming and to help spread best practice.
This session will take place in either the Palace of Westminster or Portcullis House committee rooms. This session will be open to the public on a first come, first served basis. If you wish to confirm these details closer to the meeting please telephone the Committee Information Line on 020 7219 2033.
