LORD CARLILE OF BERRIEW QC TO GIVE EVIDENCE

Lord Carlile of Berriew QC will be giving oral evidence to the Home Affairs Committee on Tuesday 11 March at 9.00 am.  The Committee is interested in exploring Lord Carlile's role as the appointed reviewer of terrorism legislation, and in particular the issues that have been raised in his recent reports on the Terrorism Act 2000 and the Anti-terrorism, Crime and Security Act 2001.

This session will take place in either the Palace of Westminster or Portcullis House committee rooms.  This session will be open to the public on a first come, first served basis. GOVERNMENT RESPONSE TO COMMITTEE'S REPORT INTO EXTRADITION BILL PUBLISHED

The Committee publishes today the Government's Response to the Committee's Report on the Extradition Bill, in time for the debate on the report stage on the Bill in the House of Commons.

The Response is published as the First Special Report of the Committee of 2002-03, HC 475, and will be available shortly on the Internet at the web address below.
