EVIDENCE SESSION WITH MINISTERS   -

Inquiry into Sexual Health  (Tenth Evidence Session),  in the Wilson Room, Portcullis House, on Thursday 23 January at 10.30 am

Oral evidence will be taken as follows:

Stephen Twigg MP, Under-Secretary of State,   Department for Education and Skills, and
Hazel Blears MP, Under-Secretary of State for Public Health

This will be the final oral evidence session for this inquiry.

Members of the public and representatives of the press will be admitted to this meeting.

The meeting will be held in the Wilson Room in Portcullis House (entrance from Westminster Bridge). Because there are often last minute changes of rooms meetings may be held in either the Palace of Westminister or Portcullis House; those wishing to attend should check the venue by contacting the Committee Information line on 020 7219 2033 on the day before the hearing.

The terms of reference for the Inquiry are:

'The Committee will examine the effectiveness of the Government's strategy for sexual health in the context of the consultation document 'Better Prevention, Better Services, Better Sexual Health: The National Strategy for Sexual Health and HIV'

The Health Committee is a Select Committee of the House of Commons.  It is appointed under Standing Order No. 152 to examine the expenditure, administration and policy of the Department of Health and associated public bodies.  The Committee has power to send for persons, papers and records.
