Formation of Maternity Services
Sub-Committee of the Health Committee
At its meeting on 12 December the Health Committee resolved to form a sub-committee to examine Maternity Services.
Its membership will be as follows:

Terms of reference for the sub-Committee's first inquiry will be announced in the New Year.
The Health Committee is a Select Committee of the House of Commons. It is appointed under Standing Order No.152 to examine the expenditure, administration and policy of the Department of Health and associated public bodies. The Committee has power to send for persons, papers and records.
The same Standing Order gives the Committee power to appoint a sub-Committee.
