Inquiry into Public Expenditure 2002

The Health Committee will begin its annual review of Department of Health Expenditure on Monday 21 October, continuing on Monday 4 November. Oral evidence will be taken as follows:

A memorandum from the Department of Health (Public Expenditure on Health and Personal Social Services 2002) will be published in due course; additional written evidence is not required.

The Committee normally meets in a Committee Room at Westminister. Because there are often last minute changes of rooms meetings may be held in either the Palace of Westminister or Portcullis House, those wishing to attend should check the venue by contacting the Committee Information line on 020 7219 2033 on the day before the hearing.

The Health Committee is a Select Committee of the House of Commons.  It is appointed under Standing Order No.  152 to examine the expenditure, administration and policy of the Department of Health and associated public bodies.  The Committee has power to send for persons, papers and records.
