Future Work Programme of the Health Committee




The Committee has decided to undertake the following additional inquiries in 2007:

€ Aspects of IT in the NHS

€ NICE

€ Audiology services, including digital hearing aids

Further details, including terms of reference, will be announced in due course.

The last sessions of the Workforce Planning Inquiry will be held on 14 December, 18 January and 25 January. A Press Release with further details will be issued shortly.

The Public and Patient Involvement Inquiry will begin in February. The terms of reference will be announced shortly [See our Press Notice of 23 November].

Please note that the Health Committee is unable to investigate individual cases.

The Health Committee is a Select Committee of the House of Commons. It is appointed under Standing Order No.152 to examine the expenditure, administration and policy of the Department of Health and associated public bodies. The Committee has the power to send for persons, papers and records.
